18 July 2020 by Sean O'Neill

This week, CCAIM Co-Director, Professor Andres Floto features in the Science, Policy and Pandemics podcast, a panel-based discussion programme produced by the University of Cambridge Centre for Science and Policy and hosted by Dr Robert Doubleday.

Professor Floto discusses the scientific and medical responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the technology that could help to prevent future outbreaks of novel viruses. He also highlights the exciting possibility of using machine learning techniques to identify and develop broad-spectrum antiviral compounds that may be rapidly brought into play to fight emerging pandemics.

The podcast – episode 17 – is available here from 18 July 2020.
